Here we are on day one at the Radisson Blu Hotel on Victoria Island. Michael Monaghan from WSI head office, Krista LaRiviere of gShift and me.

Michael started with the introduction of WSI and gave a review of the Digital Marketing proceedings for the two days.

Michael is sharing Internet stats on Nigeria – over 6m Facebook users and all the attendees put their hands up for being Facebook users. A different story when asking about who was on LinkedIn, so I am really looking forward to presenting B2B Social Media and covering LinkedIn tomorrow.

Some points from Michael:

  • Half the money I spend on marketing is wasted; the trouble is I don’t know which half.
  • How much does it cost to get a new customer – WSI has the solutions to identify who comes to your website and track the calls to your business generated from web traffic and specific Ads from traditional media as well
